David McDonald is the leader of OSI Group, a firm that provides food globally and it has established partnerships with international companies. David McDonald has been working with the firm for more than thirty years and has contributed a lot to its growth. This enables them to scale globally. Their Chinese partnership has enabled them to fully gain the China market since they have trusted them. OSI Group marked 20 years in China in 2012 since they opened their food manufacturing branch in Beijing in 1992. When Beijing hosted the Olympic Games in 2008, OSI Group supplied different varieties of food and their products got widely accepted. From this period OSI Group has become the supplier of famous firms in China. OSI Group has bought Baho Food which has provided them with an opportunity in Europe. Baho Food is a Dutch processing firm which specializes in deli meat, snacks among other kinds of food. Baho Food has five branches.

David McDonald reveals that the firm will give OSI Group more availability in the European market. OSI Group dates back to the beginning of 19th century where it started as a normal butchery. It was started by a German immigrant who lived in Chicago. After the First World War, the business had grown to a point of being termed as wholesale. They changed their name several times until they arrived at OSI in 1975. Through the years of its transition, OSI Group has worked closely with McDonald’s restaurants. McDonald’s restaurant was their first supplier of the fresh meat which contributed to their growth. McDonald’s was an international firm and due to their cooperation with OSI Group by then Otto & Sons they introduced them to international markets.
