Rodrigo Terpins wears his hats as an entrepreneur and rally driver with ease and pride. The Saint Hilaire graduate has tasted the good in both worlds and has continued to soar even higher. His life is a good example that it is possible to hold an office position and still find time to be sporty.
Life in Car Racing
Rodrigo Terpins has participated several times in the Sertoes Rally in the country. His partner, Fabricio Bianchini, who is equally talented in the game has been a great contributor to their wins. Rodrigo Terpins terms the game as adventurous and fun-filled contrary to how spectators perceive it. The two were part of the 22nd edition of the match, which covered 2600 kilometers across the Minas Gerais and Goias states. Out of the 38 participants, Rodrigo and Fabricio finished 8th in car number 326. The duo made two podium finishes and emerged 3rd position in the category of prototypes T1. The two would not be wrong to credit their support team of ten for their success in the challenging match.
Life in the Corporate World
For over two decades now, Rodrigo Terpins has cultivated a great career in business. He joined the corporate world in April 1991, working for Lojas Marisa. Rodrigo was able to handle responsibilities that contributed to the growth of the firm including imports, e-commerce, and strategic planning among others. His efforts saw him go up the ladder to hold the position of the Operations Manager. He held the position until his departure from the company in March 2007. The following year, he joined the company he currently works for, T5 Participaos.
Entrepreneurial and Sporty Roots
The entrepreneurial and sporty blood runs in the family, which has contributed majorly in Rodrigo’s development in both fields. His father, Jack Terpins, was a celebrated basketball player in his years as a youth. He has made major achievements in the game, including being a team leader. After a successful career in sports, he quit joining the real estate industry, an area that he has equally thrived. Rodrigo Terpins motivated his brother, Michel Terpins, to join car racing as his sailor. They both play for the Bull Sertoes Rally Team and are renowned in the Brazilian rally championships.
